When orders ship

Orders ship the next business day. You will get a tracking email as soon as your label is created.

Shipping rates

Rates are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination. We ship with FedEx (Ground, Home Delivery, 2Day and Standard Overnight) and USPS (Ground Advantage and Priority Mail).

Free shipping on bees

Orders that contain only live bees ship free by FedEx 2Day.

How live bees ship

Live bees ship separately from the rest of your order, on the Monday you choose: Spring Mason bees from February to April, and Summer Leafcutter bees from May to August. Bee houses, nesting materials and accessories ship right away, so you can set up before your bees arrive. To change your bee ship date, email info@crownbees.com at least 7 days before it.

Live bees ship to the contiguous United States and Alaska. We cannot ship live bees to Hawaii, APO/FPO addresses or outside the United States.

Giving bees as a gift

Bee Certificates and gift kits work year-round. The bee house and supplies ship now. Your recipient emails us to redeem the certificate and picks a spring or summer date for the bees to arrive.

Holiday shipping

We ship from Washington State, so packages to the East Coast and Midwest take a few extra days. To receive gifts by December 24:

  • East Coast and Midwest: order by December 15 for standard shipping.
  • West and Mountain states: order by December 17 for standard shipping.
  • Anywhere in the contiguous US and Alaska: order by December 21 and choose FedEx 2Day.

Partner products

Some seeds and garden items come from our Shopify Collective partners. They ship separately from those partners and may arrive on a different day.

Local pickup

Choose Pick Up in Store at checkout and collect your order at 17721 132nd Ave NE, Woodinville, WA, Monday to Friday, 1 to 4 PM.

Alaska, Hawaii and APO

Hard goods ship to these addresses at rates calculated at checkout.

Damaged or incorrect items

Let us know within 7 days of delivery and we will replace the item.
