Wild Ones + Crown Bees: Partnering for a Greener World

Join us in the Discovery of Wild Solitary Cavity-Nesting Bees!

Welcome Wild Ones!

Our collaboration combines the strengths of both organizations. Habitats, rich with pollen nectar, along with space to live, will have a positive impact on pollinator conservation.

Discover the Magic of Solitary Bees

These solitary bees are fascinating creatures that nest in small cavities, such as hollow stems and pre-existing holes in wood. Unlike social bees, each female solitary bee is a queen in her own right, building and provisioning her own nest.

Why Solitary Bees Matter

Solitary bees play a crucial role in pollinating our gardens, farms, and wild spaces. They are incredibly effective pollinators, often outperforming honeybees in certain crops. By supporting solitary bees, you contribute to a healthier ecosystem and more bountiful harvests.

How You Can Help

Creating a welcoming environment for solitary bees is simple and rewarding. Here are a few steps you can take:

  • Provide Nesting Sites: Install bee houses or leave natural cavities in your garden.
  • Plant Bee-Friendly Flowers: Choose a variety of native plants that bloom throughout the growing season.
  • Avoid Pesticides: Use organic gardening practices to protect bees from harmful chemicals.

Join Our Community!

We invite you to explore our resources, join our community science projects, support our partners, and share your experiences with fellow bee enthusiasts. Together, we can make a significant impact on the health and diversity of our local pollinator populations.
