Spring Mason Bees: Super pollinators of apples, cherries, plums, blueberries, and strawberries, these gentle solitary bees prefer 8 mm-sized nesting materials and use clay-rich mud to build their protective nest chamber walls.

Summer Leaf Bees: Excellent pollinators of tomatoes, peppers, squash, melons, and peas, these gentle solitary bees prefer 6 mm-sized cavities and use soft, pliable leaves like those of rose, hosta, lilac, pea, bean, and strawberry to build their protective leafy cocoons.

Our DIY Upgrade Kits work with all Crown Bees houses and most DIY bee houses and come with all nesting materials, accessories, and bees, excluding the house. Choose from spring or summer kits, including natural reeds or reusable wood trays. Complete Kits ship year-round, with nesting materials, booklet, and accessories shipping at the time of order. Bee cocoons will ship in season on the Monday bee ship date you select.
