Are You Unsure Which Reeds Contain Cocoons?

Our Cocoon Finder is the perfect tool to identify reeds that are partially filled with cocoons versus those that are empty and reusable for next season.

How It Works:
Simply insert the Cocoon Finder into the open end of a reed:

• If you see green through the reed, it likely contains cocoons ready for harvesting.
• If no green appears, the reed is likely empty and reusable.

Note: The inner lining of some reeds may give the impression of cocoons. To confirm, gently push the Cocoon Finder into the reed. A hard “stop” typically indicates either the last cocoon's mud wall or the reed's natural node.
