The Cabana Bee House: A Blend of Fun and Functionality 

Featuring a fun modular hexagon design, this bee house includes built-in cocoon hatchery and is deep enough to provide an overhang to protect the bees' nesting material from the weather. It’s ideal for providing nesting spaces for the superstar pollinators your garden needs. This bee house is handcrafted locally in Western Washington from stunning Pacific Northwest cedar, sustainably sourced from local logging companies. It includes a keyhole slot in the back for easy installation and wintertime removal. 

ProTip: Both Spring Mason bees and Summer Leaf bees can be housed in the same bee house in the different seasons, just change the nesting material! 

The complete kit includes a Bee Certificate for Your Choice of Pollination Season

We take great pride in providing you with healthy cocoons to give both you and the bees the best chance for success. The bee houses ship year-round and will include a Bee Certificate. Your kit contains a certificate for either 20 Spring Mason bee cocoons or 200 Summer leafcutter bees. When you redeem your bee certificate you select your bee ship date. Don't worry! You have the flexibility to adjust the bee ship date up to 7 days before shipment. 

Spring Mason bees are fantastic pollinators for fruit and nut trees, berries, and spring-blooming flowers.  The Mason bees love mud! We love happy bees, so added it to the Spring Mason bee complete kit to help you have a successful bee season.

Summer Leaf bees will boost the growth of tomatoes, peppers, squash, and peas. Our gentle cavity-nesting bees are 100 times more effective at pollination than honey bees.

Add visual cues with your reeds. The reeds included in our Complete Kits will not fill the house. The open space allows for easy placement and removal and gives you room to be creative. You can fill the gap with colorful artistic materials or sticks to help the female bee quickly and easily find her nesting reed. The choice is yours!
