Our various Spring, Summer, or Dual-Season complete Kits with Bees make raising gentle Mason and Leafcutter bees both easy and enjoyable. Choosing a bee ship date can be challenging, especially if buying the kit as a gift. Don't worry! We allow you to adjust the bee ship date up to 7 days before the bees are scheduled to ship. Please note that complete kits ship year-round! Our hard goods (Villa House, nesting reeds, booklet, and accessories) ship at the time of order, and the bee cocoons ship on your desired bee ship date(s).

The Villa Bee House: A Blend of Design and Functionality

Our journey to create the perfect bee house led us to Clifford Russell-Nichley, a talented motion graphic design student. His winning design offers both style and practicality in two sizes: the larger hexagon at 7.25" wide and the smaller Cabana at 6" wide.

Clifford's inspiration stemmed from nature and contemporary interior design trends. His modular hexagonal design, coupled with covered cocoon storage and an overhang for weather protection, caters to younger generations living in apartments.

With a focus on aesthetics and functionality, The Villa Bee House embodies modern beekeeping for urban dwellers.

Kit Options:

Choose a kit based on when you want pollination: spring with Mason bees, summer with Leafcutter bees, or dual with both. Spring and summer kits allow you to order either all-natural reeds (bees' #1 nesting material). The Villa can accommodate:

• 78 8mm or 6mm Reeds plus the Bee Observer, or
• 150 Bee Tubes, or
• 125 Natural Reeds, or
• 48-Hole, 8mm Mason Bee Wood Tray, or
• 78-Hole, 6mm Leafcutter Bee Wood Tray

Villa Bee House Specifications:

• Peaked Roof: Features a 2″ overhang to drain excess rain.
• Easy Installation: Keyhole slot in back for easy installation and removal.
• Dimensions: 7.35" Side to side x 9" D

Note:

The nesting materials included in our Complete Kits will not fill the house. The bit of open space between the nesting materials and the roof allows for easy placement and removal and gives you room to be creative. You can fill the gap with colorful artistic materials or purchase additional nesting materials to fill the space. The choice is yours!
