WELCOME TO CROWN BEES
We're glad you're here! At Crown Bees, we help gardeners and farmers boost pollination and grow fresh, healthy food by raising gentle, solitary bees in backyards and gardens. Whether you're a new beekeeper or have years of experience, we're here to help!
SOLITARY BEES ARE SUPER POLLINATORS
We all know of the beloved honey bee, but did you know that solitary bees, like mason and leafcutter bees, pollinate at a much higher rate? 3x higher, actually! No, you won't get any honey, but you will enjoy more flowers, thriving plants, and healthy fruits and veggies in your garden!
SOLITARY BEES ARE GENTLE, MAKING THEM SAFE AROUND KIDS AND PETS
You don't need a garden to enjoy these bees! Creating a home for native bees provides much-needed support for our declining pollinator populations and boosts the health of surrounding ecosystems. Plus, they're super fun to watch, and since they don't have a hive or honey to protect, they are gentle, making them safe around kids and pets!
WELCOME TO OUR COLLABORATIVE COMMUNITY. YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE IT!
We collaborate with researchers, peers, and community groups to set the standard for best practices in solitary beekeeping. By sharing what we've learned, we've helped thousands of people throughout North America raise bees, create pollinator-friendly habitats, and grow more food!
