High-Quality, Sustainable Cedar Bee Houses Handcrafted in Western Washington

Built to last for years, designed for bee health, and made from responsibly sourced Pacific Northwest cedar.

BeeSafeβ„’ Nesting Design Standard

Our BeeSafeβ„’ Standard is the set of best practices for cavity-nesting bee homesβ€”focused on material choice, moisture management, airflow, and long-term health outcomes for Mason and Summer Leaf bees. It’s why our cedar houses pair so well with proper nesting materials.

Learn How to Setup Your Bee House

We pride ourselves on providing high-quality, sustainably sourced, bee-safe bee houses. While you may find cheaper options, our handcrafted cedar bee houses are built to lastβ€”saving you money over time and giving Mason and Summer Leaf bees a safer, healthier nesting space.

Locally Made

Our cedar bee houses are made from Pacific Northwest cedar and handcrafted locally in Western Washington. This supports U.S. manufacturing and helps reduce our overall shipping footprint.

Sustainably Sourced

Our manufacturer works with sustainable logging partners that use selective harvesting, downed tree recovery, and post-wildfire salvage practices. We also use wood offcuts from larger projects that would otherwise be discarded, keeping usable material out of the waste stream. Each house is finished with a protective oil to help extend longevity.

Bee-Safe Design Features

All of our cedar bee houses include:

  • Roof overhangs that help protect nesting materials from wind and rain
  • Keyhole slot backs for easy, secure mounting
  • Attics or cocoon drawers that help shield cocoons from birds, sunlight, and weather
