Wooden trays are to an active bee raiser what a well-seasoned cast iron pan is to a chef; and Crown Bees' CocoonCombTM is their favorite spatula.
Instructions
- Remove the rubber bands from the trays and separate into sections.
- Starting at one end of the tray, nest the cocoon comb firmly into the grooves and push it to the other end—scraping the contents of the rows away. Cocoons, pollen and everything else drops into your waiting bowl.
- Wash and dry your cocoons.
The comb works on both 8mm and 6mm trays.
PRO TIP As you disassemble your trays, lay them out flat in the order in which they were assembled. This will ensure that when you reassemble the trays, they will fit together as they did before you took them apart.
