Summer Leaf Bees

Pollinate Your Summer Garden with Gentle Summer Leaf Bees

Summer Leaf bees are gentle, effective pollinators that boost harvests in gardens and farms. Known for their ability to navigate tight spaces, these bees pollinate as they buzz past berries, tomatoes, peppers, squash, beans, peas, and more. Unlike Honey bees, Summer Leaf bees don’t have colonies to defend and rarely sting, making them safe for families and pets.

Each bee uses about one leaf per day to carefully wrap its eggs, showing off its namesake leaf-cutting behavior. These fascinating bees allow for up-close observation and offer a unique opportunity to connect with nature.

Welcoming Summer Leaf bees into your garden supports biodiversity, encourages higher yields, and fosters a peaceful coexistence with one of nature’s most approachable pollinators.

For the health of the bees, we only ship Leafcutter bee cocoons on Mondays (May - August) to ensure they do not get stuck in transit over the weekend. We recommend you choose the Monday your bees leave our warehouse to align with the week your summer garden begins to bloom and gets consistent daytime temps of at least 75°F/24°C.
