How many generations per year does a mason bee produce?

Mason bees produce just one generation per year.

In the spring the adult mason bees emerge from their waterproof cocoons and are ready to go. They mate, pollinate, and build nests.

The eggs hatch and slowly eat their pollen loaf, spin cocoons, and develop into adult bees by the early fall. They hibernate over the winter and the cycle starts again.
