Programs & Materials
How can I participate in the Native Bee Network?
Which products are best for community gardens?
Public, community and educational gardens qualify for our Native Bee Share program. The Native Bee Share kit includes spring mason bees, summer leafcutter bees, a bee house, nesting materials, a sponsorship plaque, and weatherproof educational signs. The goal of the Native Bee Share program is to help raise awareness of our native hole-nesting bees while providing year-round pollination to community gardens.
Can I schedule someone to come speak to our group?
Does Crown Bees buy mason bee cocoons?
You can sell us your extra mason bee cocoons through our BeeBuyBack program in exchange for a Crown Bees gift card or check. The program opens in October and runs until our yearly mason bee quota is met. Your cocoons are rehomed to gardeners and farmers.
What’s the exchange rate for BeeBuyBack?
The exchange rate varies year to year and depends on trends in the mason bee market. When available, the BeeBuyBack page provides the current exchange rates.
