Leafcutter bees love the summer heat and this is the perfect time of year to watch them fly!

Female leafcutter bees are busy gathering pollen and nectar and carrying leaf bits home to build their protective leafy cocoons.

SUMMER BEE TIPS & REMINDERS:

• Plant peas, beans, and strawberries for flowers and leafy building material
• Keep cocoons out of direct sunlight - tuck them towards the back of the bee house
• Leave nesting materials out all summer for new adult leafcutters to emerge

Leafcutter bees are adorable.
